Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Poinsett County Criminal History does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other direct message may be retained long enough to answer and maintain the related correspondence. It is kept within the operating team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal duty.
Data We Gather Automatically
Loading a page can cause servers and service providers to receive routine technical information, including:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files used to understand traffic patterns, popular pages, and points where visits end. Analytics providers may combine that activity into site-performance reports. Browser controls can reject cookies, although blocking them may change how some functions behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating, securing, and improving page performance
- Routing a submitted query to the selected search provider
- Measuring which resources receive meaningful use
- Diagnosing errors and other technical problems
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
Poinsett County Criminal History does not keep, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Its content identifies official custodians, including the Poinsett County sheriff and court clerks, Arkansas State Police Identification Bureau and Arkansas Crime Information Center systems, and the Arkansas Sex Offender Notification System. The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not compiled into consumer reports or third-party criminal profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the embedded search tools. Their privacy policies, not this policy, govern information submitted through those tools. Each company decides how long it retains data and when it shares data. Review those terms before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to sheriff pages, court portals, Arkansas agencies, legal resources, or commercial search services. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy terms apply. Read them before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own technology to recognize activity across websites and select ads. That processing occurs under the provider's systems and policies.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for collected data. No internet system can guarantee absolute security, so unauthorized access or disclosure can never be ruled out completely.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If such information is identified, a deletion request may be made through the listed contact route.
Your Data Rights
Rights vary by residence and applicable law. The Arkansas Personal Information Protection Act, Ark. Code Ann. § 4-110-101 et seq., governs safeguards and breach duties for covered personal information. The Arkansas Freedom of Information Act applies to public records held by Arkansas government custodians, not private visitor data kept by this site. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as practices or legal duties change. A revision becomes available here with an updated effective date, and continued use is governed by the version then posted.
